So Much for a Relaxing Weekend.

Friday I finished work early, which was a bonus as I had arranged to get out of London for the weekend. I was heading up to Nottingham to look after mother, who had been a little under the weather. And I was also booked to look after my 2 year old nephew. Seeming as I’d finished work early I took the opportunity to get an earlier train, as my original time of arrival was nearing midnight. Now it was looking like 7pm. I arrived at St.Pancras station and saw that I had 5 mins before the train left. My ticket was only valid to Kettering, but I was going to chance not buying an extension to catch the train. The rush was all for nothing as, as I put my ticket in to the barrier for the 17:16 train, access was denied. With a look of confusion a member of staff informed me that my ticket was only valid AFTER 7pm. Bloody typical! So I now had almost two hours to kill in the cold station. Which considering the size of the forecourt, lack a serious amount of seats. The seat that were availabl

I’m not sure what’s happening in life these days, from before. But as I get older, I'm finding that life is weighing me down. Quite literally! I use to be able to leave my house with just my phone, purse and house keys. But now... everything but the kitchen sink seems to have worked its way in there. My daily handbag holds the general basics as mentioned above. And also, an umbrella (this is England after all), my oyster card, diary, mp3 player with head phones( not ear plugs).phone charger, due to phones being so advance and able to do so much; I find myself constantly attached to it, therefore it loses power a lot quicker than your 1998 Motorola M3288. Tissues, chewing gum/mints. Small bottle of water. And that’s just for an average day!!! You can see that with all of this so far, it’s verging on the weight of a baby.  Recently, when buying a new bag, I find myself holding the empty bag and feeling how heavy it is. Then, imagining the effect once all of my things have

PART 3 Gate Crasher? Or Opportunist? Auditions.

As I walked over to the gym, I had a thought of the old dancers trick. When some people have been cut from an audition; they go away and change their look and go back in and end up getting the job. Some big names have done this at the start of their career and now, it's my turn to give it a go. In the changing room of my gym, I removed my glasses and put in my contact lens. Applied a different colour lip stick and touched up my bronzer. Gazing in the mirror I wondered what else I could do. I didn't have a change of clothes, so I thought I'd just remove my cardigan. Oh, and my hair. It had been tied back all day with a side parting...I'll let it down. Simples! Well, not quite. Those of you with afro hair or thick curly hair will know. If you have had your hair tied back all day, when you go to taking down. It remains in a pulled back style. (Not a great look) \solution, fully mu fringe forwards, ties a bit back and add a quiff....Da daaaa! A new me :) I looked at th
