Monologue.

Hey guys, Ive just been having some ideas for monologues. So i've jotted a few down. Let me know what you think, first go. Maybe if you like I'll do a whole book of them. lol "o Monologue 1 (Leaning on the table over a laptop, sat in a cafe window) I really should be doing something. (Pause, looks at the clock) I’ve sat here for at least an hour, looking at the screen, flicking from Face book, to Twitter, to gum tree and auto trader and not forgetting the clock. (Looks at the clock and sighs, turns and looks out the window). Why I’m looking at auto trader is beyond me, I don’t drive. I do however have a list of things to do and I’ve done about two out of the five; not bad. (Stares into space, then at her watch) I need to leave for work in about an hour or two. I have plenty of time to still get things done. (Looks out the window and watches a couple walk by). Job hunting. That’s what I should be doing. I came to this cafe because I’d get more work done out of the h

Do It Yourself

I'm a very 'right now' kind of person. I think of something to do, I want to do it straight away. But this time, I had to wait. The light in my bedroom is useless, it doesn't produce make light and I end up with badly waxed legs and full on stage make-up. The solution...changes it. Simples! I've never changed a light fitting myself, so I thought when my brother next visits; I’ll get him to do it. I bought the new light and now just had to wait. I was in for a six week wait as he'd had to go to Canada to slide down a few tracks. (Bob sleighing). Six weeks is FOREVER! I want it done NOW! I heard my house mate say her dad was visiting, so maybe he could do it for me? Maybe not, as when he came they were out doing the tourist thing. So it came down to the old saying...'if you want something doing, your best off doing it yourself.' With my highest GCSE in wood work and manufacturing services, I can clearly do this small job. Stage one: find out what the

There on the floor, dropped through the letter box. A lovely cream envelope addressed to me peers under the mix of junk mail and bills. The hand writing feminine and very neat. Puzzled I wonder who on earth it could be from. Not many people know my address and it's certainly not my birthday. I reach down to pick it up from under the other post and as its closer I have a feeling that I know the sender, but cannot quite place who sent it. But what I do know is that the sender does not know me, as its address Miss Sarah Sharman and COMPANION!!! Surprised and confuzzled. Now up in my flat, letter still unopened, I continue to quiz who it could be from. My housemate looks over and laughs at the title and gives a 'good luck with that look'. My family know I'm single and all my close friends too. No one's getting married or anything like that. So what could it be? Hmmm? Now I’m reading into this 'companion', what does it imply? And why on the envelope? I open i

Just My Luck.

I manage to book in to have a voice reel produced the other week. And how excited was I? It’s something thing that all actor need to have and something that is often requested (so a show reel, but that one’s a little harder to produce). So seeming all I had to do was get the script and record...simples! Not quite. I searched many companies and settled for one that had a good price and happy reviews. BOOKED! Though, unlike many others, this company didn't provide you with any script. It seems that casting directors are able to tell where you've had it done by the pieces used. Not to worry, this gives me some work to do. All pieces sorted almost the same day I booked, I now patiently waited for the week to come so 'say some tracks'. Now we come to the night before and I'm having ear ache, which comes with a slight sense of a sore throat. I try to ignore it, but deep down I know I'm ill. I wake up a snotty mess and have a slight cough, but it’s not too bad, I
