So why are you single?

Every so often I am asked by various people, 'Do you have a boyfriend?' follow by 'How come you're single?'
The first answer is No. But then I never really know how to answer the following. I say I'm too busy, or I'm not looking. Then they ask why? err....er.. I hesitate before they then ask,
'Whats your type/into?'. Now i don't really understand this.
My dating experience is few and far between. Throughout school I was every guys friend. (not a tom boy though) and general couldn't care less about having a boy friend then, and a little now.




If I'm asked out on a date, i sometimes accept, THEN I decide what I like and Don't like about that person; if they were to be my boy friend. (No one has yet qualified to round 2). Being 25 now, I still carry my single status; which doesn't bother me as it does my family and friends. But I guess when you have always been single, it becomes a life style. I can do what i want,when I want and not have to wait around for people. You get into a routine and everything is focused on yourself.
I think some people are meant to be single, and this may be for me. Well, at this stage of my life at least. I have goals that I want to meet, Maybe it will be more fun to have someone on the journey with you. But I don't want to waste my time with short term love stories and heartbreaks.
I am a rock, an In dependant women who can look after herself. And this I guess is why I am single...my strength as a strong woman repels guys. 
This is my theory.

It was only a few weeks ago I looked at my hair, fed up. It always seems dry, yet I'm forever moisturising it. It's grown out, but has no shape. It's so bushy it takes forever to do each day. Unfinished writing :2015

I had every good intention tho write today. But the minute I sat down at my desk I decided to quickly upload some photos to my Tumblr page. Quickly was not how it was done. I could feel my brain bleed with despair as the connection with the internet staggered at a painful pace. The frustration building up as something that should have taken 5 minutes now took over 30. I had lost my train of thought in writing due to the stupid wifi. Maybe I should gather my things and head to an internet cafe. It's 3:30pm now, by the time I get ready and get anywhere it will be pointless....I've written off today....haaaahaaahaa. I've written off today. What a perfect pun, seeing as I haven't written anything. I have however watched three episodes, maybe four of Empire, whilst Ironing (a task I should have battled through last week.) Who are you without them? POEM

Who are you without them?  Are you standing tall in a room on your own? Have you got the confidence to dine alone?  Will you laugh aloud when they missed the punch, because they're too drunk and you're not stoned or half cut to un hear every syllable in each and every tone. Fall into place, put your hand on your waist, your disjointed body and face. Any thing to save grace. For that taste, the inclusive, judgemental party race.  But who are you without them? Can you walk alone, stay at home, happy to not pick up the phone. For socials aren't socials in flesh and bone. Are you OK without the phone? Is your time more valuable than your health? Giving time is humans true wealth.  Time giving, time without sleep, time to meet your mates in the streets. Time that's not replaced as you give away what family needs. Time they didn't rush when you picked up the phone saying 'Hey, let's meet.' Who are you without them?
